Active Cooling Chair effectively reduces heat stress...
Long Valley, NJ— The invention of the Active Cooling Chair offers a creative concept for a portable chair that is outfitted with tanks filled with cool water. This unique chair provides a simple yet effective means of lowering the body temperature after exposure to extreme heat. The Active Cooling Chair would be especially beneficial when made available in the Firefighters Rehabilitation Area during training and actual fire events.
The Active Cooling Chair was invented by Eugene G. and Timothy G. of Long Valley, New Jersey. They state, “Our invention is designed as a folding outdoor unit featuring a canvas seating and backing, and incorporating cold water tanks for cooling the user’s arms, effectively reducing the user’s core temperature. The Active Cooling Chair is designed for use by the military, athletes, firefighters, and others who experience the ill effects of heat stress.”
