VICTORVILLE, CA—This fire-rated Attic Access Panel is an insulated, form-fitting, hinged locking, access panel that provides greater security for attics and also, when opened, will automatically trigger an attic light. The Attic Access Panel will provide consumers with heightened security against intruders, better attic insulation and greater convenience in accessing their attics for storage and removal of stored items. It is made of sheet-metal, wood, fiberglass and metal framing. The underside of the panel can be painted, or stamped with a variety of patterns. The upper side is backed with a form-fitting sheet of solid foam insulation. It is designed to fit snugly between the joist members or ceiling joists and available in a variety of sizes. A spring-activated light switch is incorporated into the device and provides light when opened and automatically turns off when closed.

The Attic Access Panel was invented by Gary B. of Victorville, CA.. He said, “The Attic Access Panel is strong and sturdy and will solve the problems of homeowners with conventional hatches or panels and will present both energy savings and security. It is affordable and effective in design.”
